Amazing Alexandria August Events for Alexan Florence Residents

Celebrate the spirit of community in Alexandria! Alexan Florence wants to inspire everyone to immerse themselves within our incredible community and experience everything amazing Alexandria has to offer. This August spend time outdoors by enjoying both our outdoor rooftop lounge and local events, celebrations, and happenings. 

 

Join fun and vibrant Del Rey for a special summer event! With live music in outdoor restaurant venues along the Avenue! The 3rd Annual Bands & Brews: Del Ray’s Summer Bar Crawl takes place on Saturday, August 19th from 12:30-6 pm. This year’s event will benefit The Friends of Duncan Library. Advance tickets are $15 ($25 at the door) and include specials on cocktails, beer, and food at each of the 15+ participating restaurants, live music at every venue, trolley transportation, 50/50 raffles, a photo booth, and many more fun giveaways.

Later in the month is the Around The World Cultural Food Festival, on Saturday, August 26th from 11 am – 7 pm. This event has free admission, with plenty of traditional meals, foods, and beverages to enjoy and explore, for purchase. Enjoy delicious dishes worldwide while watching a diverse folk show with entertainers from different countries. Then, take a break between meals to go shopping from the several artisans and crafters participating in the festival.
